WALK WITH ME (2017) by Marc Francis & Max Pugh

“Don’t run, go slow, where you have to go is you alone” – Juan Ramón Jiménez
Master Thich Nhat Hanh has been a celebrity all over the world for quite some time, fortunately.
Nowadays his teaching is in his many books written by him and there are countless other authors who treat the subject of living the present, but here in the West the mindfulness was quite unknown and now it even seems a fashion, which they call “Mindfullness” but it is not.
The documentary shows the life of the monks in the Monastery – Sangha of Plum Village, founded in France by the teacher Thich Nhat Hanh or “Thay,” as their students call it, which means Master, and we see the rules that abide by the new monks who join the Community.
It is pure honey to see how these extraordinary beings of Mindfulness live or coexist, or practice the consciousness at the present moment, so necessary in a society that urges that each of the individuals that conform it to be conscious of themselves , release the autopilot and begin to take the reins of their lives from that place that is pure peace, love and truth.
And a much more united and peaceful world would be possible.
The people who have seen “Walk with Me” will agree that they will have experienced during their viewing that peace that only comes when the door is opened with the key of Attention to whatever is being done at any moment, and that the most important is to become aware that there is another way of life that is useful and necessary for oneself and for others.
And because we are installed in that “Peace” that is our true “Being”, seeking wealth, fulfillment, well-being and love outside of ourselves, completely loses its meaning and interest. It is not an easy way to give up what produces suffering because it comes with the beautiful form of gift wrapped in a striking role of desires and pleasure. You have to be very clear that this beautiful envelope hides potential suffering, or have had enough of suffering or both at the same time.
But when the seed of Truth is implanted within one, it must be watered so that it grows and does not wither, and the Sanghas and Monasteries are the perfect places to care for the newly seeded seed, and not to be lost again in the world so distracted; and when this has already become the strong tree that was destined to be, then many return to the world to be refreshing shade for the weary and suffering brothers, or powerful light that not only enlightens itself but as all light, wherever I go; and also planting seeds in other hearts that have the earth ready to bloom.
A few days ago I was fortunate to be in the presence of one of these monks who lived in Plum Village, Dai Dinh, and his “Being” radiated such “Peace” that the only thing that describes him, because the words are short, is the image of a beautiful lotus flower of an immaculate white.
She left me quite impressed and grateful…
Walk with me is a blessing to humanity and a living sign that you can be and live according to the best and highest of the Human Being.
Don’t miss it.
