THE COMMERCIAL FILM OF THE WEEK

THE GREAT WALL (2016) by Zhang Yimou
“What were they trying to keep out?”
We travel to China in S.XV with two mercenaries. They look for gunpowder but they will be involved in a mistery and dangerous secret. Why the Great Wall of China is so long and big? This movie is a turn of the screw of the real reason about the construccion about this monument, the siege of the Mongolians. They are replaced by a monsters. This monster eat human flesh.
I don’t know that i watch a lof of movies or is because this fim is like a puddle after the rain, as original as deep. I didn’t see the grace. It has rancid and epic dyes. A great troops with stoic and brave generals and soldiers everything for a noble cause, saving the world of the monsters. If this is not enough typical and topical, the heroes, two civiliced and western men. That men were not honorable in the past but now they will can redeem theysef. To top it all off, the love, The Lyn, the general, fall in love with one of hores. The prettiest, the star, the Matt Damon’s Character.
But if you let oneself go by the spirit of the cinema, this movie fullfills. Thi is a show without any more claim, only entertainment. This flm doesn’t leanr anything, it doesn’t give any lessons fot the life, only evasion. The story is unreal and unimportant The special effects are great, explosions, monsters, battles. This special effects catch us and keep us set donw in our seats.
The soundtrack are the best thing for put us in situation. The sound of the drums, their blast, they tick each attact and each move of the troops. It isn’t necessary anything more. This movie isn’t the best film of the year but it allows us have a good time and ejoy of the show.
